Dear Players,
It's been quite some time since we sent out a new newsletter, however we'd love to see you back in-game, you'll find your account and items are still there, if you played past January 2006+, or all the way back to 2003 since we started if you've had a subscription for membership.
Defiance UOR at the moment is again re-booming with PvM and PvP action, and if you're tired of all the new console port games, maybe it's time to try some 'old' instead.
Since you last played you might notice several key changes.
We now operate back in London, instead of Maidenhead, UK, this gives us direct LINX coverage, the best network hub in the world for EU/US connectivity. With now 1GBPS Ethernet ports and our own dedicated Juniper MX series Router (..being installed 25th of January)
Numerous PvP changes that nagged old PvPers, Evo Damage Reduction all round, players and PvM to balance the game further back to it's original roots.
Great new events that challenge nearly the entire shard, which are now automated, requiring no staff support to get your adventure on its way.
Huge reduction in magic jewelry to help increase the twitch factor of our PvP system. We have believed since day 1 and even to this day, that PvP should be dedicated by the player - not his class or untraditional tactics, (..or as some would put it - lame)
Veteran Rewards for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th year were added.
Faction System has been restored to its original location parameters, but still with our 2x more in-depth faction system compared to any other shards.
